March 10–12, 2023

The students of the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Thessaly are delighted to announce the 1st Panhellenic Conference of Physiotherapy Students, which will take place on March 10–12, 2023, in Lamia.

The main goal is to create a high-level scientific conference that will showcase research conducted at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in the Health Sciences in Greece.

At the same time, there will be activities offering diverse educational experiences and entertainment.

The Physiotherapy Knowledge Olympiad will provide an opportunity for undergraduate physiotherapy students to compete collaboratively across multiple levels of health knowledge.

The Olympiad will be accompanied by awards and distinctions.

The conference will also feature workshops (only undergraduate physiotherapy students are eligible to participate in the workshops).

The conference is open to all university students (undergraduate and postgraduate), Ph.D. candidates, academic staff, and healthcare professionals.

Physiotherapy Running Team

Sports and Physiotherapy go hand in hand. The running team of the Department of Physiotherapy was founded in September 2022 and consists of students who share the same passion for running and running activities. Beyond the benefits of exercise, participating in the team’s activities helps strengthen relationships among students.

Through the systematic study of scientific articles and their presentation, members have the opportunity to delve into various fields of knowledge, exchange ideas, and cultivate creative dialogue, while simultaneously enhancing their academic and research capabilities.

The Journal Club consists of more than 20 active members (students) who coordinate annual presentations in collaboration with members of the academic community. Some of the topics covered include:

Anatomy Weeks, Respiratory Trials, Cardio Olympics, Orthopedics, Spine Courses, and so on.

Traditional Dances

Dance is a means of expression, entertainment, and psychosomatic well-being. Christmas Bazaar

The students of the Physiotherapy Department at the University of Thessaly organize the annual Christmas Bazaar, a unique event filled with creativity, warmth, and festive spirit. The Bazaar features handmade crafts, holiday gifts, traditional sweets, and original decorations, lovingly created by the students themselves.

This event goes beyond the joy of Christmas, promoting social contribution, as all proceeds are donated to charitable causes. Through this initiative, students foster a sense of community and solidarity, while also creating a welcoming space for exchanging holiday wishes and sharing unforgettable moments, accompanied by music and a festive atmosphere.
