From November 5-8 in Lamia, at the Department of Physiotherapy of the University of Thessaly, the 3rd meeting of the members of the European Research Project KA2+ “Higher Education to Improve Competency in Sports Physiotherapy (SportsComp)” took place. This project aims to enhance skills in Sports Physiotherapy. It has received a total grant of €400,000, spans three years, and involves five organizations: Jamk University of Applied Sciences, University of Tartu, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, University of Thessaly, and the International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy.
The project is coordinated by Jamk University of Applied Sciences and aims to improve the quality of education and the profession of sports physiotherapy by fostering skill development. It promotes excellence in sports physiotherapy, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation education, while also supporting the improvement of European healthcare and sports systems.
During the 3rd meeting, two webinars were held, with participation from over 100 individuals worldwide, as well as workshops focused on developing e-learning education. Additionally, faculty members, doctoral candidates, and students from the Department of Physiotherapy and other departments of the University of Thessaly participated in the webinars and workshops.
