Professor in Physiotherapy Department, School of health Sciences, University of Thessaly. She has an M.Sc. in Sports Medicine (1996) from University of Nottingham, UK and a Ph.D. in Sports Physiotherapy (2006) from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and research interest on the underlying mechanisms of dysfunction development in chronic neuro-musculoskeletal patients, the prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries as well as the clinical communication skills. She has attended numerous specialized postgraduate courses and seminars. She has participated in more than 50 national and international conferences as an invited speaker and also, she has oral presentations and posters in more than 40 international and 70 national conferences and congresses. Furthermore, she has received a number of awards for best conference presentations. She has more than 80 peer reviewed scientific publications with more than 3800 citations and 28 h-index (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Eleni-Kapreli-2\">https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Eleni-Kapreli-2<\/a>). She has been coordinator\/member of scientific team in several research projects and she has received Marie Curie Fellowship by European Commission. She is currently the Director of Clinical Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation Laboratory, University of Thessaly, Director of MSc Advanced Physiotherapy in University of Thessaly, Director of Lifelong Learning courses, and member of Scientific committee of Sports Physiotherapy accreditation of Pahnellenic Association of Physiotherapsts.<\/p><p><strong>Current Kortianou<\/b>\u00a0is Associate Professor in Respiratory Physiotherapy at the University of Thessaly. She holds a degree in Physical Therapy (1994) from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, a Postgraduate (1997) degree from the University of East London and a Ph.D. (2015) from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also holds a Master Degree in Pedagogy (1999) from PATES.<\/p><p>She teaches respiratory physiotherapy and pulmonary rehabilitation at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her\u00a0<u>teaching experience<\/u>\u00a0has primarily consisted of respiratory and cardiovascular limitations in chronic lung and cardiovascular diseases. She supervise postgraduate and Ph.D. students.<\/p><p>She has extensive\u00a0<u>clinical experience<\/u>\u00a0and clinical teaching of physiotherapy students in ICUs and other clinics (surgery, pulmonology, etc.).<\/p><p>Her particular\u00a0<u>research interest<\/u>\u00a0is in the rehabilitation of chronic and acute respiratory problems in adults that need to be addressed and treated by the physiotherapist. Her studies concerning the cardiovascular and respiratory system limitations on exercise capacity and daily physical activity in patients with chronic lung diseases have been discriminated in Greece and abroad. She has attended a number of postgraduate courses and specialized clinical seminars in the context of lifelong learning. She is an\u00a0 evaluator of international journals and research proposals.<\/p><p>Since 2009 she has been collaborating with the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Unit of the Medical School of the University of Athens. Also as an invited lecturer, she collaborates with the Postgraduate Programs of the Medical School of the University of Athens. She has been a member of scientific congress committees in Greece and abroad. She speaks English and Italian.<\/p><p>Since 2020 she leads the Specialization Training Program named \u201cPhysiotherapy in ICU. Strimpakos<\/strong> is a Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, University of Thessaly, Greece and also Research Associate (Honorary contract) in University of Manchester, UK. He holds an MSc and PhD in Rehabilitation from University of Manchester, UK and has BSc in both Physiotherapy and Sports Science. He has been Vice-Rector of Academic Affairs and Vice-Rector of Financial Affair in the TEI of Sterea Ellada, Director of the Centre for Technological Research of Central Greece and Head of MSc Program in Advanced Physiotherapy. Currently, he is Director of Research Institute of Rehabilitation and Wellbeing, Director of Health Assessment and Quality of Life Lab and member of Quality Assurance Unit of University of Thessaly. He is also member of Education and Research Working Group of European Region of World Physiotherapy and National Delegate of European Society for Shoulder and Elbow Rehabilitation (EUSSER). He has written more than 70 peer-review articles in international Journals having up to now more than 3400 citations with 29 h-index. His research interest and expertise concern the musculoskeletal rehabilitation, development of objective and subjective outcome measures, exercise in chronic diseases, hydrotherapy and has been He has obtained a BSc Physiotherapy from TEI Athens (currently known as University of West Attica, 2005), an MSc Physiotherapy (Neuro-adult route) from Cardiff University (2008) and a PhD Musculoskeletal from the School of Translational Medicine of the University of Manchester (2011). His research interests are concerned with the spinal pain and postural disorders, manual therapy, motor control and development and validation of assessment tools for musculoskeletal and neurological patients.<\/p><p>He is currently teaching under- and postgraduate modules related to manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, ergonomics, clinical musculoskeletal physiotherapy and research methods. He has participated in a number of clinical seminars relative to the rehabilitation of patients with neuromusculoskeletal and neurological problems and he has rich clinical experience in different rehabilitation settings. He has more than 40 publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals and more than 300 citations (h index: 9). He is reviewer in many different international peer-reviewed journals. an\u00a0<span style=\"text-align: center; white-space-collapse: preserve;\">Associate<\/span>\u00a0Professor in Cardiovascular Physiotherapy, in Physiotherapy Department at the University of Thessaly. She holds a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy, 2011) in Cardiac Rehabilitation, from University of Essex in United Kingdom and an MSc (Master of Science) (2005) in Medicine &amp; Science in Sport &amp; Exercise (Therapy), from Glasgow University, Strathclyde University &amp; Glasgow Caledonian University in United Kingdom. She earned a Bachelor\u2019s degree (2003) in Physiotherapy from Technological Educational Institute of Lamia.<\/p><p>She is a Deputy Director of Clinical Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation Laboratory in Physiotherapy Department at the University of Thessaly and has collaborations in the context of telerehabilitation with corresponding university institutions abroad.<\/p><p>She has clinical teaching experience (since 2006) of physical therapy students in cardiology clinics and clinical professional experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation (Cardiac Rehabilitation Instructor in Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic, Essex, UK) certified by BACPR.<\/p><p>Dr. Pepera has independent teaching at the undergraduate level of theoretical courses such as &#8216;Physiotherapy of Cardiovascular Diseases&#8217;. She participates in the teaching of postgraduate courses, specifically in &#8216;Advanced Physiotherapy&#8217; of the Physiotherapy department of the University of Thessaly in the course &#8216;Pulmonary and Cardiovascular Rehabilitation&#8217;, and MSc in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Approach to Diabetic Foot in the School of Medicine of the University of Thessaly.<\/p><p>She has supervised several undergraduate research projects related to cardiac rehabilitation as well as a master&#8217;s\/doctoral thesis in progress on the topic of cardiac rehabilitation\/telerehabilitation.<\/p><p>She has organized and participated in several cardiac rehabilitation seminars. He has been a founding member and former vice-president of the Scientific Department of Cardiovascular and Respiratory Physiotherapy-Rehabilitation (ETKAFA) of the PSF. He is a reputable member of Greek (ETKAFA and EKE prevention and rehabilitation working group) as well as internationally recognized Scientific Societies including BACPR and European Association of Preventive Cardiology (EAPC). Her research interest is Cardiac rehabilitation, Telerehabilitation, the implementation of physical activity programs and cardiovascular assessment programs in cardiac patients, diabetic patients, Health (2003) from the School of Health and Social Care, University of Greenwich, UK and a Doctoral Degree (2018) from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Thessaly. His research interest is focalized on the musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation of spine diseases as well as on the human proprioception and balance. He is a member of the \u201cHuman Performance and Rehabilitation Laboratory\u201d. He teaches at the \u201cAdvanced Physiotherapy\u201d Master\u2019s Program, University of Thessaly. He has also curried out a number of Postgraduate Lectures at the Spine Department of the Hellenic Scientific Society of Physiotherapy. Chandolias<\/b>&nbsp;is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physiotherapy, University of Thessaly. He holds a bachelor&#8217;s degree from the School of Physiotherapy at ATEI Thessaloniki (2003), a Master&#8217;s in Exercise and Health (2011), and a Ph.D. (2019) from the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science at the University of Thessaly, as well as a Master&#8217;s in Pediatric Physiotherapy (2021) from the Department of Physiotherapy at the International Hellenic University. During the period 2021-2023, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Physiotherapy, University of Thessaly. His clinical and research interests focus on the evaluation and rehabilitation of neurological patients, hydrotherapy and balneotherapy. He is a member of the research laboratory &#8220;Health and Quality of Life Assessment.&#8221; As part of his lifelong learning, he has attended numerous postgraduate courses and specialized clinical seminars, primarily related to techniques and modern approaches in neurological rehabilitation. He has been a member of research teams (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Konstantinos-Chandolias\">https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Konstantinos-Chandolias<\/a>) for various projects (&gt;\u20ac2,000,000) such as Smart Tourist, Navigate Esus, Select, and Zeus, which involved the use of virtual reality (VR) and the assessment of the functional status of stroke patients. He is the president of the Hellenic Halliwick Association for people with disabilities, the coordinator of the Scientific Hydrotherapy Department, and a member of the Research Topics Institute of the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed scientific articles in international journals with 68 citations and an h-index of 5. He is also a member of the working groups of the International Aquatic Therapy Subgroup of the World Physiotherapy and the Educational and Research Committee of the International Halliwick He received his Ph.D. (2002) from the same institution, Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.<\/p><p>He is a pediatric physiotherapist working in both academic and clinical settings. His area of expertise is Neurological Physiotherapy. His research interests focus on pediatric neurological rehabilitation and motor control, with particular emphasis on the interaction between neuromuscular activity and motor performance.<\/p><p>He is a member of Human Performance and Rehabilitation Laboratory and serves as a tutor in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Skempes<\/strong> is Assistant Professor at the Department of Physiotherapy of the University of Thessaly. His research interests focus on health and disability policy, including especially the organization and evaluation of rehabilitation programs and services for people with neurological and chronic diseases.<\/p><p>He holds a BSc in Physiotherapy (2006) and a master\u2019s degree (2009) in &#8220;Public Health and Health Care Management&#8221; (Department of Medicine, University of Crete) and specialized as an Erasmus mobility scholar in &#8220;Health Services Research&#8221; at University College London (2008). He received his PhD in &#8220;Health Sciences&#8221; from the University of Lucerne, Switzerland (2019) as a Marie-Sklodowska Curie fellow of the European Commission.<\/p><p>He conducted postdoctoral research at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lshtm.ac.uk\/research\/centres\/international-centre-evidence-disability#:~:text=Our%20mission%20is%20to%20provide%20evidence%20to%20improve,lives%20across%20the%20world.%20Photo%20credit%3A%20%C2%A9%20CBM\">International Centre for Evidence in Disability<\/a>, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK (2022-2024). Between 2019-2021 was a postdoctoral researcher at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paraplegie.ch\/spf\/en\/\">Swiss Paraplegic Research<\/a> and visiting Lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unilu.ch\/en\/faculties\/faculty-of-health-sciences-and-medicine\/about-the-faculty\/overview\/\">University of Lucerne.<\/a><\/p><p>He worked for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/health-topics\/rehabilitation#tab=tab_1\">World Health Organization<\/a> as Technical Consultant where he was stationed in Geneva working on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/publications\/i\/item\/9789241549974\">WHO\u2019s Rehabilitation in Health Systems<\/a> guidelines\u2013 primarily dealing with approaches for the assessment of scientific evidence in disability policy and managing operational aspects of the project. In addition, he was involved in the initial stages of the development of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/publications\/i\/item\/who-global-disability-action-plan-2014-2021\">WHO Global Disability Action Plan 2014-2021<\/a> and its monitoring indicators. In his research has examined health and disability rehabilitation from a human rights perspective with the aim to inform States\u2019 human rights reporting to the United Nations and served as a Scientific Assistant to the Vice Chair of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/en\/treaty-bodies\/crpd\">United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities<\/a> in 2014. A part of his published research work has been spent on issues relating to rehabilitation \u2013 advancing the conceptual understanding of rehabilitation services and classifying rehabilitation services and programs for international standardization in his capacity as a member of the Taskforce on Strengthening Medical Rehabilitation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/isprm.org\/\">International Society of Physical Medicine &amp; Rehabilitation.\u00a0<\/a><\/p><p>In the context of lifelong learning, she has attended numerous postgraduate courses and advanced seminars in health policy and systems research. He has published more than 30 peer reviewed scientific articles and abstracts in international journals with over 470 citations and 12 h-index. He has participated as investigator and research team member in projects that have been supported and\/or funded by the European Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Swiss National Science Foundation, the Swiss Paraplegic Research, the EU COST program etc. He is a reviewer in international scientific journals and a certified evaluator of training programs of the <a href=\"https:\/\/world.physio\/\">World Confederation of Physiotherapy<\/a>. He is an active member and representative of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine in the Global Alliance for the Care of the Injured coordinated by the World Health
